CHAIN

Hi,

The revised manual text for the use of CHAIN states quite clearly that you CANNOT have spaces in the CHAIN statement. In this example there is a space between Program and files. Likewise there is another space between Windows and NT. As a result your CHAIN statement reads as three statements
CHAIN "C:\Program
Files\Windows
NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe",return
None of these statements is valid. This is why your example doesn't work.

re: chain

If you check previous threads on the CHAIN command you will find you need an exclamation sign at the start of your path string.

CHAIN "!C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe",return

This actually is in the manual, but the manual implies you don't have to have the "!" which I have never found to be the case. Try it, I think it will work.
