Square root of a negative number

Here is my problem:

LET B = SQR(A * RO)

Both numbers can be printed out and they are clearly positive. The answer is also positive, but it insists on returning an error message (3005)and stopping the program.

I tried a different version:

LET B = (A * RO) ^ .5

The answers are the same and I get the same error message.

Anyone know why? It's the Bronze version.

Re: square root of a negative number

nadzzab ... Change your code line to:

LET B = SQR(ABS(A*RO))

Square root of a negative number

Does it happen for all values of A and R0 or only some? If only some, could you specify which ones you tried?
