# TB SILVER built in trig functions false values results

My TB SILVER #23-WIN&L edition 5.33 (I.D. 033-621) is in my WindowXP and Window Vista computers and gives false values of built in trig Sin(x) Cos(x) tan(x) etc functions.
e.g.:
print SIN(30) gives -.98803162 instead of 0.5
print SIN(44) gives 1.7701925e-2 instead of 0.6946583705
Print SIN(90) gives .8939666 instead of 1.0
Print TAN(45) gives 1.6197752 instead of 1
etc......
I need urgently your help to solve this problem.
Thank you, best regards,
Paul Leclerc

### sines and cosines

Hi,

You need to put
OPTION ANGLE DEGREES
at the top of your program.
Without this line your program will calculate sines and cosines and other trig functions in RADIANS.

### Re: Trig functions

paul ... You MUST put the program line:

OPTION ANGLE DEGREES

at - or near - the top of your program listing. In True BASIC, The default option angle is RADIANS. Regards ... Tom M
