TB 6 Demo

When I apply colour to the text using the color text option I am no longer able to run the program and typing leaves blanks where letters should be.Also the cursor turns into an I bar and stays like that.

Color text problem

Hi Dave,

I have just checked out the demo. I could only get it to duplicate your problem by typing a series of upper case letters. I will see what can be done.

Thanks for letting me know.

Color text error

Hi Dave,

I have cured the invisible text problem. Basically I forgot to include a default color for the first word on each line of code so it printed the letters of the first word in invisible color until it recognized a keyword - in which case it colored it blue. If the program failed to recognize the keyword then it remained invisible. The default color is now BROWN so you can see what you have typed.

The TB web site will make the new Bronze demo available for download ASAP.

text colour and cursor

Hi John
Good to hear the text colour issue is sorted. Did you also track down the bug that changed the cursor to an I beam after applying colour to the text and prevents TB from running the code.

Dave

New demo posted

Hi Dave,

Thank you for reporting this bug. You win the prize for finding the first one!

I've just posted the updated demo that includes this bug fix. If John posts another update to that second issue, I will update it again.

Thanks,

Bugs

Hi All,

This is exactly how the TrueBASIC site should work - users report bugs up front and for all to see - the bug is addressed and the new version is posted on the site for download. Everybody knows what is going on and what has or hasn't been fixed, and everybody knows what is the latest version.

By the way, the new editor has a built-in update feature that allows users to download new big fixed versions. This feature only applies to the new editor - not to older versions.
