Incorrect version of RTP

Hi, I'm new to True BASIC programming and have recently started using True BASIC Silver at school to make programmes.

I've written a programme in the editor and checked to make sure it runs without any errors, I then proceeded to RUN > BIND and selected to save the binded executable to a local hard drive location. TB returns an error "Incorrect version of RTP" upon binding.

I'm using version 5 Silver edition.

Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't have

Unfortunately I don't have access to the files described. I asked a sysadmin to reinstall TrueBASIC Silver (turns out it was 5.25) and binding seemed to work fine after that.

Thanks for the help anyway.

Binding

Hi,

Well thought out. version 5.25 is a bit old but the core language hasn't changed since then so you are not missing anything in the language. However, the new editor can make programming much easier for you.

BINDWIN.RTP

Hi,

The TBsystem.exe file and the Bindwin.rtp have to match in order for binding to proceed successfully. Do you know what version of TBsilver you are using - (type VER on the command line)? What is the date on the file BINDWIN.RTP?
